Perhaps when presented with an opportunity to be more greatly rewarded, your knee-jerk reaction is to shrink and not step up to it.
Or perhaps you have a tendency to let people pile more and more tasks on your plate, taking on more than you can realistically handle for much less than you deserve.
Something in you recognizes that
you are special,
and
what you have to offer is special...
and you can't understand why others don't recognize it, too.
Maybe sometimes you even want to cry and shout,
“Boooo!! The world is so unfair!”
But you don’t, because you’re programmed to “suck it up” and “wait your turn.”
You’re not wrong, though.
Life CAN be unfair…
but it doesn’t HAVE to be.
The reason why you regularly find yourself:
bending over backwards trying to tend to everyone’s needs but yours
overcompensating by giving more than you should and being content with very little
letting others guilt or shame you into picking up the extra slack
… is because of how your mind has been programmed throughout the years to side-line yourself.
You dim your light so you don’t stand out, or mute your voice so you don’t make waves.
Think of it this way–
If your whole life was built around making others feel good about themselves, never questioning them, being “nice” and “polite” all the time, then it’s natural for you to just accept what the world gives you.
For example, how do you respond to a coffee that’s served to you lukewarm?
Is your automatic reaction to drink up, anyway?
Or is it more natural for you to return the coffee and ask for a fresh hot one?
Likewise, if you’re served a dish that you don’t like,
would you eat it just because you ordered it and don’t want it to go to waste? Or would you rather order something else and not force yourself to eat something that you don’t like?
When you’ve rewritten the narrative that says you’ve got to make do with what was handed to you—and not ask for more—life unfolds at a different level and pace because you’re
no longer sitting on the sidelines.
a self-paced digital course that can help you

Mindset plays a huge role in our achievements and success, and I consider it the center of all change:
until you can see the world or yourself differently, your world and yourself will stay the same.
This program, therefore, tackles mindset head-on. You'll receive not only a set of journal prompts to help you build confidence, but also practical questions to uncover and address your beliefs about money and relationship with it.
I used to feel like a second-class citizen because of how I was brought up. In Asia, the norm is to obey, to belong, to follow. Since childhood, it was drilled into us that we should never ask for more, and always wait our turn. The adults, especially those in positions of authority, told us how we would be rewarded for being good. As I grew up, this “less than” mindset continued, and it didn’t help that coming from the Philippines meant that I was often assumed to be a mail order bride or “the help.”
I was conditioned to believe that I belonged on the sidelines: patient, quiet, and “good.”
But success doesn’t happen to those who wait on the sidelines, and I was never very good at being patient and quiet, anyway. As someone who started doing business at the age of six, and consulting internationally at 18, I’ve learned (as cliche as it sounds) – “ask and you shall receive.”
In other words:
it’s okay to speak up, set boundaries, and expect a certain standard for yourself.
Whereas my upbringing told me to bow down to elders or people with more experience than me, my intuition told me to articulate my thoughts succinctly and simply own the difference that I bring to the table.
As a result, I’ve worked with over 1000 business leaders across the globe and am seen in Forbes, Entrepreneur, the Good Men Project, and many other big publications and podcasts that talk about empowerment, entrepreneurship and personal energy management.
Thank you Maria! I have to agree with you. You need to know your worth… You might compromise if you need to, but even so, knowing your worth and expressing it gives you another standing.

Maria helped me learn to set boundaries.
…because when you’re surrounded by people who see your value and respect what you have to offer—and reflect it back to you—
you’ll never forget the magic you bring to the world!

Maria taught me that makes a big difference in the way we connect to people.
What happens oftentimes is people trying to overly “sell” or “persuade” or “force” their ideas or difference instead of just sharing and inviting another person to engage.
I have clients from all over the world whose first language isn’t English and I don’t have difficulty working with them because I just always think people love deep connections.

There is no one else who I want to be with me in this journey other than Maria.
My stronger energy and the clarity I developed with my messaging called in clients without the need for manipulation and fear-based marketing, This was mind blowing for me, I finally experienced the ease I’ve been craving in my business.
